Hi, I’m Katelyn Barger! I’ve called Chicago home since the summer of 2021, when I began my career at William Blair as an Investment Accounting Associate, eventually becoming a Senior Investment Accounting Associate. In August 2026, I joined Valor Equity Partners as a Senior Fund Finance Associate specializing in client service. I’m originally from St. Louis, Missouri, where my family still resides. Outside of work, you’ll find me walking around the city, biking, or catching the latest release at the movie theater!
Throughout my time in Missouri and Arkansas, I worked with young girls through school and church communities, and it’s something I’ve truly missed. I graduated with honors from the University of Arkansas with a major in Finance and a double minor in French and Marketing. As part of my studies, I wrote my thesis on gender inequality in the workplace, which gave me a deeper understanding of how women have historically been disenfranchised and strengthened my commitment to advocating for women’s rights. I’m a proud feminist and an active ally!
