Kirstin L. Jones is Vice President, Digital Marketing & Community Engagement at First
Women’s Bank, the first bank focused on the women’s economy and closing the gender lending
gap. She supports the bank’s digital strategy and is spearheading the launch of the First Women’s
Business Collective, a national platform connecting business owners and nonprofit leaders with
tools, training, and access to capital. She also leads strategic partnerships and events that expand
the bank’s reach and impact. Before her current role, Kirstin served as Chief of Staff, working
closely with the executive management team to operationalize the bank at its inception.
Prior to joining First Women’s Bank, Kirstin was Deputy Chief of Staff, Finance & Public
Engagement at the Obama Foundation, working with the CFO on financial leadership and
business diversity initiatives and supporting the EVP of Civic Engagement in community affairs,
partnerships, and alumni engagement for the Obama Presidential Center. She also served in the
Obama Administration as an Associate in the White House Presidential Personnel Office and
later as a political appointee at the U.S. Small Business Administration, where she traveled
nationwide advocating for small business owners, promoting SBA resources, and expanding
opportunities in underserved communities.
Kirstin enjoys serving her community; she is an associate board member of Easterseals Serving
Chicagoland and Greater Rockford as well as Sunshine Enterprises, and a director of Red Clay
Dance Company and the Chicago Loop Alliance. She is a member of the National Coalition of
100 Black Women – Metropolitan Chapter. Kirstin earned her Master of Business Administration
from Loyola University Chicago as a Baumhart Scholar and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics
from Barnard College, Columbia University.
