Kayla Washington is a nonprofit professional and emerging leader committed to creating more opportunities for girls to thrive. As Special Assistant to the CEO and Operations Coordinator at Girls Inc. of Chicago, she works with executive leadership and teams across the organization to support its programs and mission.
Kayla helps coordinate executive operations, board engagement, and organizational initiatives. She enjoys bringing people and ideas together to keep projects moving and ensure the organization’s work is supported behind the scenes.
A proud University of Illinois Chicago graduate, Kayla holds a Bachelor of Arts in Gender and Women’s Studies. Her studies shaped her interest in equity, advocacy, and the systems that influence opportunities for women and girls.
Kayla is especially interested in youth advocacy, public service, and social impact. As she continues to grow in her career, she hopes to help expand access to opportunity, with a long-term interest in law and advocacy.
